Request for Proposal (RFP): Animation Support Services

Date of Issue: May 12, 2026
Project: Animation Outsourcing Partnership (Unity-Centered Workflow)
Issuing Organization: Titan1Studios

1. Executive Summary

Titan1Studios is seeking a high-caliber animation outsourcing partner to provide production support for our upcoming slate of projects. While we afford our partners flexibility in their creative software of choice, our workflow is fundamentally dependent on final assembly and compositing within the Unity Real-time engine. We are looking for a partner that blends traditional animation artistry with the technical discipline required for real-time delivery. While we welcome global applicants, all production management and daily communication must be conducted in English.

2. Technical Requirement: The Unity Pipeline

While character animation and asset creation may occur in external software such as Blender or Maya, the final delivery must be fully integrated into our Unity environment.

Key Technical Expectations:

  • Interoperability: Seamless export of assets and animations (FBX) from Blender/Maya into Unity.

  • Assembly & Compositing: All final scene assembly, lighting, and compositing will take place within the Unity engine.

  • Mastery of Unity Timeline: The ability to manage complex sequences, cleanup, and visual effects directly within the Unity Timeline is a non-negotiable requirement.

3. AI Usage & Ethical Standards

Titan1Studios supports the use of AI-augmented tools that enhance efficiency, provided they are used responsibly.

  • Disclosure: Any AI-assisted processes (e.g., AI-driven mocap cleanup, generative texturing, or automation tools) must be explicitly disclosed as part of your pipeline proposal.

  • Ethical Governance: All tools must adhere to our Ethical AI Policy. We require assurance that all AI-generated or augmented elements are derived from ethically sourced data to protect the copyright and chain of title of the final materials.

  • Intellectual Property: All outputs must be fully copyright-cleared, ensuring Titan1Studios maintains sole ownership of all produced assets.

4. Evaluation Pillars

Applicants will be assessed based on the following four pillars:

  1. Character Animation - Quality of performance and movement in Blender/Maya and its successful translation into Unity.

  2. Asset CreationCreation of high-quality, optimized 3D assets and rigs that meet Unity’s real-time performance constraints.

  3. Unity IntegrationTechnical proficiency in utilizing Unity Timelines for cleanup, lighting, and final scene compositing.

  4. Production TimelineClarity of the project schedule, studio bandwidth, and a proven track record of meeting milestones.

5. Submission Requirements

To be considered, please provide:

  1. Portfolio: A showreel and three (3) samples matching our provided reference (available upon request).

  2. Technical Pipeline: A brief overview of your workflow (e.g., "Maya to Unity"), including specific AI tool integration.

  3. NDA: Acknowledgment of willingness to sign our Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement.

  4. Fee Proposal: A transparent breakdown of costs (per shot/minute or hourly).
